Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I set-up an appointment?
Old Town Manassas Medical Center is a walk-in medical clinic, and appointments are never needed. Just come to our office whenever there's a need for our services, and we will be sure to see you quickly.

2. What are my payment options?
We accept the following forms of payment: cash, checks, and all major credit cards.

3. What are your hours?
Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM. We also see patients on Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. We are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

4. What's the difference between emergency room services and urgent care?
Emergency room services are provided in a hospital setting and include treatments for all Major / Minor Illnesses or Injuries. They are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Urgent care facilities do not provide every kind of medical treatment, but instead focus on delivering a high-level of care and convenience, with typically much faster wait times than a hospital emergency room. Urgent care facilities treat Minor Emergencies and Illnesses, Lacerations, Sprains, Occupational Medical Issues, and can provide X-Rays and Laboratory Services.

5. Hospital ER or Urgent Care: When should I go to the emergency room?
Urgent care is not a substitute for emergency care. You should use a hospital's emergency department for very serious or life-threatening problems. If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, do not wait! Call 911 or get to the nearest hospital emergency room for the following symptoms:
  • Chest pain
  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • Sudden dizziness, weakness or loss of coordination or balance
  • Sudden blurred vision
  • Numbness in the face, arm or leg
  • Sudden, severe headache
  • Deep cuts or bleeding that will not stop
  • Coughing up or vomiting blood
  • Severe burns
  • Seizures
6. Do you take insurance?
No, we do not participate with any insurance companies or plans. Patients self-pay and can then submit to their own insurance companies if needed. However, we may use a patient's insurance plan for blood work, since our Laboratory submits claims directly to insurance companies.

7. Do you treat children?
Yes. We do see children of all ages on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. On Wednesday and Sunday, we see children who are two years old and above.
